OK with the player on but not playing any disks and the TV on as well of course you should see the following logo.

If you have one of the older Firmwares installed you'll see a slightly different picture.

Press the setup button on your remote and you should see this

Press the down arrow 4 times on the remote so you see this

Now press enter again on the remote so you see this

Press down arrow again till you get

Press Enter again at this point

This is now displaying the firmware version

My machine now has 10.01 yours may say something like

A948E-15E20-13-0927
VERSION C-CODE A9.48E

Press setup button to return to initial screen
